15 Jan 2008 - Av3 and Norkives
A nice new message board archiving tool in in place thanks to Norik, and the av3 system has been decided on.
2 Sep 2007 - General mud forums de-announced at mudsnippets.net
mudsnippets.net is not around because pacnames.com won't let me renew domains I already own, for reasons best known to themselves. Although the current $875 asking price they have on it may be a clue.
10 Aug 2006 - General mud forums announced at mudsnippets.net
Gareth's other mudding project, mudsnippets.net, has opened up a forum for more general mud talk with the wider community. Go take a look.
12 Apr 2006 - New site goes online.
All is on! Hope y'all like it. Let me know if there's broken links, and if you've got any content to add (e.g. for the clans or players page) then email Gareth!
9 Apr 2006 - Quest notification mailing list created.
It's at yahoogroups, so if you want to join without signing up for a yahoo account just send an email to email@example.com, then once the confirmation email comes, just reply to it.
Otherwise, you can sign up by using the web interface at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/abandonedcodex/.
This is an experiment at this stage to see how many people sign up - if it's successful then admins will use it to send emails about upcoming quests.
8 Apr 2006 - News functions written.
I've written a set of functions to handle news as a sidebar and a page.
6 Apr 2006 - Changes to illusionary magic - 'save versus wands' is now 'save versus wands or illusion'; fright and disintegrate updated accordingly.
Success or fail with fright should now be a lot less 'binary' and more of a sliding scale. As promised, the duration of the stun effect has been increased back from 2 rounds to 3. As always with things like this, it's experimental - let us know how you get on with it.
4 Apr 2006 - New website begins production.
I've decided to invest some money in old-fashioned internet advertising. Since most of these work by linking to the website rather than the mud itself, I figured it'd be best to spruce up the site while I was at it. Hope y'all enjoy the result.
