What is it these days? used to be port 4500 if I recall rightly, and I think I did see a note mentioning it moved or changed or was closed down (temporarily) or something.

What's the story?

If you'd get on the main port and read some notes you'd know that the building port is currently down for maintenence at the normal address of citadel.republic.k12.mo.us port 4500. Maybe you people should try and play the mud sometimes Razz

I couldn't find it again when I checked before posting this message.

Doesn't really matter now anyway.

The building port is on leviathan.republic.k12.mo.us 4500
although I'm still waiting on the citadel backup area files.

For some reason I can't connect to leviathan.republic.k12.mo.us
Dunno why, maybe I always try when it's down for some unknown reason? But I have yet to successfully connect to it.

Republic School District are no longer willing to provide hosting for the mud. To be fair, we've had 6 years for free, and nobody who studies or works there plays the mud any more, so we've not had a bad run.

I'm currently in talks with someone to get space on a dedicated server at another ISP - it'll cost me a few quid a month though. In the meantime I'm trying to get an adequate building port running on a DSL line - I won't post the address in public though, you'll have to ask me when I'm online for it or send me an email.
