I say this in all seriousness:

I have little to no idea what this thread is about...

Skype and Teamspeak have conferencing facilities so you can have a microphone and speakers (or headset) to talk to other mudders in your party while you're doing a raid or whatever. And also so you can hear my laughter when you hit DTs.

Oh. Not to go out of my way to be a dick or anything, but I've always seen the use of headsets in videogames as, well ... kinda lame.

On a side (but not completely unrelated) note, if you haven't already seen it, go watch:

Whether you're a casual fan of South Park, or into the MMORPG scene, it's a can't miss.

I'd like to cast a vote for whatever works on the Mac.
To my knowledge, Ventrillo's the only one that matches that qualification. ...Even then, I think it only supports one codec.

Ventrillo:
sarlok.com
port 3784
password Untitled.gif

Using the Speex codec, given that's all the mac Ventrilo client supports.
The server's v3.0.1, so make sure you have at least that version or newer client installed. mmkay?
