Good grief, could _somebody_ be older than me?
I realized yesterday that I missed my 1-year birthday on the mud by over a month. And by one year I mean 8760 hours of online time... I'll be 10k soon.

I'll be 22 on July 26. I think I'm at about a decade here... which is kind of frightening... I can't remember exactly when I first made a char... 5th grade maybe, which would have been in 1995-6. I actually feel kind of bad about having been a little 11 year old here and annoying the shit out of people... kind of.

It's a constant source of amusement to me the sheer number of people (well, at least 5-6) who claim that they've played AC since 96, 95, or even earlier. Wink

I started the mud up when I was at Republic High School in Missouri, September 1997. Before that I was an imm/builder on an Australian mud called Eternal Conflict, which is also the mud KaVir immed before he wrote Godwars...

Then whose mud was it that I annoyed the fuck out of people on for a couple years before coming here? Cause that's a pretty clear memory. Maybe I played Terris for a while first before we found AC. I dunno, my memory is poor as shit anyway. I'm actually surprised you say you started it in 97, cause I'm 100% sure I was playing here in 97 (cause I met one of my best friends here BEFORE I met him IRL, which occurred Jan 98 and I was already lvl 30-40) but I had thought the mud was older than a few months when I started. Maybe I just leveled faster than I remember... I know I suck at leveling fast so I just assumed it had taken months to get there.
