To repeat what I just posted in another thread, just so everyone knows:
I'm no longer accepting areas built with ORB for use on Abandoned Codex. Area structures and flags have changed so much from stock smaug that it's absolutely hellish making sure that everything's transferred properly (if it boots up at all).
If you want to build, ask for a building port character.

A few years ago it was "I don't like ORB". It worked, but certain aspects of how it worked made for a certain amount of non-standard area layouts - e.g. object/mob long descs with newlines in them, and empty lines at the end of every room description. So, it was very strongly recommended against for new builders, but if somebody'd already built an area in ORB (naming no names) then I'd do my best to accomodate it.
But now it's got to the stage where someone sent me an area done in ORB that due to the roomflags being differet, had a permanent cleric temple - and that was kinda the last straw as far as ORB was concerned.
Whilst I'm vaguely on the subject, I want no more deathtraps, and no new consumables (potions, pills etc) either. |
