aww man i hope it gets fix soon cause .... if it don't i may forget how to get there not really i don't i could ever forget my first mud
In fact this mud made me no longer a virgin mudder but an experience mudder now if only i could get better at prostituting myself so i can make some money now that i can mud just joking i still have a lot ot learn about this place, but i do like going deep into Abandonedcodex for hours upon hours of nonstop enjoyment. And then just when it starts to get boring A quest shows up and the energy from deep within surfaces and its like a frenzy that never stops. Oh AB please get fix soon so we can be together we have been together for soo many years and if i don't get to come inside of you again and explore you and poke around what am i to do?
LOL sorry i was trying to be funny but i think it turned out kinda weird or even sick as some would say. |

Well everyone i am actually worried now. This may be the end to the codex being free. Currently my worst thought is this. See the mud is on a server where we can get on free and G doesn't have to pay for it. But now they want him to pay for it so in order for G to pay for it, we would have to pay for it hopefully my fear is unfounded and the mud just needs to be rebooted |

Damn. Sorry I can't be of any use people. I'm still having computer issues and can't access the information stored on my normal system...thus I have no way to even attempt to contact Gareth.
In any case, Neq, you need to calm down. STOP FREAKIN' OUT MAN!!!!! If anything like that were to happen, we wouldn't be left in the dark. Gareth would have at least posted something here on the forums. Added to all that is the fact that this website is still alive. I don't know the details of how Gareth runs everything, but I'm pretty confident that if there were issues concerning the server, it wouldn't be just one aspect down. Everything would be down. So. Conclusion: Gareth is still on vacation, and someone crashed the mud rather severely.
Things to do while being bored: Build us areas. Lots of them! Really cool ones too! You can use ORB if you like, but my personal favorite is to download and loadup your own Smaug mud, then log yourself building (just in case). That way, you have a pretty good idea of whether or not your area looks and works properly, plus you'll get the pleasure of being able to walk around and playtest it with characters.
Gareth should return soon from his trip, so I wouldn't be overly concerned. As a side note however, how long as the mud been down? Was anyone on at the moment of crash? If so, post a date/time of crash and any clues you might have as to the cause. Anything to make it easier for Gareth to fix when he gets back. _________________ "Eye level for a kender is door-lock height for the same reason a chipmunk has extra cheek space."

my area's been done for weeks now, I need onto the BP to stat mobs and then email it to G and test it once, and BOOM! 100 room area, the likes of which this mud has never seen.
An interactive quest!
An intricate storyline worth following through to conclusion!
BE EXCITED!
LOG ON TO THE MUD AND PLAY! (when its back up)
So basicly, G, hurry up and gimmie a char on the bp... _________________ "Sleep well, sweet child... the lord holds thee now." |

for what it's worth, I was on when the mud went down.
Tuesday, August 2, at around 9:30pm EST (2:30am August 3 BST)
I was fighting that Grand Paladin guy who is up the chain SW of town. (Getting my ass kicked, I might add)
I was trying to flee and I remember my prompt went something like
>flee
%% Disconnected from server.
literally as soon as i input that flee command. Don't know if there's a connection or not. |
