I am trying to find a good book for my girlfriend. She likes Fantasy books with the main character being a female. It helps if the novel has multiple parts to it. Any suggestions?

I don't really know many fantasy books that have a single, main female char, but Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series has a nice mixture. The main main char is male, but every other chapter or so usually goes off into other members of the group which are often times female only or female majority groups. There's about 6-9 main chars depending on what book you're in, half of them usually women.

Ender's game! (you've probably already read it, but I'm still gonna throw it out there!)

Although there's not many females (in the first book, at least). He does have a sister, though...

Terry Goodkind Sword of Truth series. Has two lead protagonists, one male, one female.

Legacy of Heorot by Larry Niven is also pretty kickass ... it's about this colony that's setting up on another planet when they start getting attacked by this weird superbeast (it's called a "Grendel" in the book - for the record, it's not where I stole my alts name from, but I kinda wish it was...). If I go any more into the plot I'll probably end up giving away shit I shouldn't ... But yeah, well worth a read if you're into the sci-fi scene.

And I'm sure there's women in there somewhere...

I don't actually find time to read many fantasy books, but the Anne McCafferey bollocks has lots of women in charge of stuff, even if the lead roles change from one book to the next.
My first MU* was actually a Pern-themed MUSH.
