It's making me see lines and lines and lines and lines whenever I do anything else afterwards.

That game is super difficult with a touchpad mouse on a laptop.

Best I got was 3994. Which i think is pretty damn good considering the mouse I'm using.

I'm very close to 5000 but just as I think I'm about to do it I change my style and go back to square one.
I think I've established that the length of the swing doesn't affect the distance too much, because all my best shots have been with really short swings.

Pure. Unadulterated. Luck.

Just gotta somehow manage to get 2 good drives in a row. I honestly have little clue how to do so, but in all my fumbling and crazy hand movements on the touchpad, I managed to get it.

Upon review with a real mouse... the trick is definitely the same as real golf. Hit it square and the little ball flies a longer distance. When you see grass clippings fly, slam your club into the ground and start screaming curses.

This is the bit I have problems with - the only time I ever get time for a second shot is if I've only tapped the first one. How do I get the time down but still hit it far?

I usually get time for at least two good shots ... sometimes I can whack off a third but then the clock usually runs out as it's roaring towards 10k.
Just gotta start swinging away posthaste, I suppose.

Yea, the trick is to definitely not waste time lining up the shot or anything. Just whack the thing. My good drives usually end up going about 4000-5000m (or whatever measurement it arbitrarily uses). When it lands I usually have about 4-5 seconds left to quickly whack it again. Sometimes the second shot will be landing just as time runs out but most of the time it expires in the air.
